Martin Šíp is one of the founding partners of the law offices.

Martin graduated from the Faculty of Law of Charles University. He also studied at Université Toulouse 1 Capitole (UT1). In 2011 he completed an internship with the Paris Bar Association.

He has been practicing law since 2008. He started working in the law firm Peterka & Partners in 2005, he was also a partner and managing director of the law firm Korbel, Tuháček & partneři, s.r.o in the period between 2008-2013.

In 2013, he co-founded the law firm Šíp, Kadlec, Paikrová s.r.o., which changed its name to Constelius s.r.o., advokátní kancelář in 2020.

In his legal practice, he focuses mainly on complex and strategic advices to clients, transactions, insolvency and restructuring law and law of obligations. He focuses particularly on francophone clients and cases with a cross-border element.

Martin is a member of the Czech Bar Association.

Mgr. Jaroslav Kadlec

Jaroslav Kadlec is one of the founding partners of the law offices.

Jaroslav graduated from the Faculty of Law of Masaryk University in Brno.

He started his legal practice in 2000, when he worked at the Tax Office in the tax arrears recovery department. He has been active in advocacy since 2007. He has been an attorney – at -law since 2009.

In his practice, he focuses mainly on public law, especially criminal and administrative law.

Jaroslav is a member of the Czech Bar Association.

Mgr. Bc. Jan Mašek

Jan Mašek is a partner of the law offices. He is responsible for managing its Prague team.

Jan graduated from the Faculty of Law of Charles University. He also graduated from the Police Academy of the Czech Republic.

He started his legal practice in 2009 as a legal assistant at one of the leading Czech law firms. He was one of the co-founding partners of a major Czech insolvency administrator’s office. He has been working in our office since 2019.

Jan is an attorney -at -law and an insolvency administrator with special authorization.

In his legal practice, he focuses mainly on insolvency and restructuring law, as well as contract law and corporate law. In his practice as an attorney -at -law and insolvency practitioner, he participated in resolving many important insolvency and restructuring cases with a czech and international element.

Jan is a member of the major restructuring forum – Turnaround Management Association Czech Republic. He is also a member of the Czech Bar Association.

Matthias Laurin

Matthias has been developing an expertise on Franco-Czech economic and business relations for about ten years. He is responsible for managing of law offices operations in France.

He advises investors from the Czech Republic and Central Europe in their operations on French territory: setting up subsidiaries or branches, acquiring stakes in French companies, real estate acquisitions, company takeovers in the context of corporate restructuring, business litigation.

He assists French companies in their strategic development in the Czech Republic as well as in the settlement of their disputes.

Matthias also assists individual clients in their projects in France at every stage of the process of their private investment.

More generally, he has a strong culture of international relations enriched by his practice with foreign clients and in particular South Africans in cross-border transactions.

His areas of practice in both advisory and litigation include corporate law, capital market transactions, shareholder disputes, acquisitions and disposals of businesses, real estate law, acquisitions and disposals of assets, commercial and residential leases, commercial law, civil law, financing, credit law, insolvency, corporate restructuring, labor law.

Matthias is admitted to the Paris Bar and the Czech Bar. He obtained a Master II degree in Business Litigation from the University of Paris I La Sorbonne and a Master’s degree in Business Law from the University of Paris II Assas La Sorbonne.

Matthias is a member of the Masaryk association dedicated to the Czech-French legal cooperation and of the Czech-French Chamber of Commerce.

He participates seminars organized jointly with the Czech Bar Association and regularly speaks at training sessions provided by CzechTrade for Czech entrepreneurs.

As an of counsel Jakub Šíp participates in selected cases within the scope of his expertise. In addition to activities for Constelius, he performs independent law practice and holds top managerial position in the Czech Republic and France. He also provides counseling to Constelius on certain internal processes.

Jakub studied law and legal science at the Faculty of Law of Masaryk University. Simultaneously he studied at its Faculty of Economics and Administration in the field of finance, specialization in banking. As part of his scholarship stay, he continued these studies at the Université Catholique de l’Ouest in Angers (F) in the company’s international relations program. As part of his postgraduate studies, he completed the MBA / MAE (Master 2) study program specialized in business management at the IAE / Business School, Jean-Moulin Lyon 3 University and IFTG of the University of Economics in Prague, in cooperation with the IAE Université Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne.

He started his legal practice in 2005 as a legal assistant to one of Prague’s leading law firms. He started his internship in a reputable medium-sized office in Prague. Subsequently, he worked in the Prague office of a leading American global law firm. After successfully passing the bar exam and the following law practice, he continued as an in-house counsel in the legal department of a multinational group doing business mainly in Central and Eastern Europe. Here, in close cooperation with members of the top management, he developed rich experience, especially in the area of M&A and transactions, restructuring, corporate governance, and contracting. He followed it up in the long-term project of restructuring and asset management in France, where he strengthened his experience in the international environment. He benefits from this unique expertise in other projects. He established closer cooperation with our law offices in 2019.

In his legal practice, Jakub focuses mainly on insolvency and restructuring law, as well as contract law and corporate law. As part of his practice, he has been involved in resolving of some important insolvency and restructuring cases and M&A projects, namelly in banking, energetic, manufacturing, agricultural, packaging sectors as well as media and service providers, including IT. He is also dealing in detail with the comprehensive management of legal risk and the contractual agenda. As part of his activities with a foreign element, he gained experience in the day-to-day management of an extensive portfolio of assets.

Jakub is a member of the Czech Bar Association. He also lectures about legal risk management on university.
