Matthias has been developing an expertise on Franco-Czech economic and business relations for about ten years. He is responsible for managing of law offices operations in France.
He advises investors from the Czech Republic and Central Europe in their operations on French territory: setting up subsidiaries or branches, acquiring stakes in French companies, real estate acquisitions, company takeovers in the context of corporate restructuring, business litigation.
He assists French companies in their strategic development in the Czech Republic as well as in the settlement of their disputes.
Matthias also assists individual clients in their projects in France at every stage of the process of their private investment.
More generally, he has a strong culture of international relations enriched by his practice with foreign clients and in particular South Africans in cross-border transactions.
His areas of practice in both advisory and litigation include corporate law, capital market transactions, shareholder disputes, acquisitions and disposals of businesses, real estate law, acquisitions and disposals of assets, commercial and residential leases, commercial law, civil law, financing, credit law, insolvency, corporate restructuring, labor law.
Matthias is admitted to the Paris Bar and the Czech Bar. He obtained a Master II degree in Business Litigation from the University of Paris I La Sorbonne and a Master’s degree in Business Law from the University of Paris II Assas La Sorbonne.
Matthias is a member of the Masaryk association dedicated to the Czech-French legal cooperation and of the Czech-French Chamber of Commerce.
He participates seminars organized jointly with the Czech Bar Association and regularly speaks at training sessions provided by CzechTrade for Czech entrepreneurs.
